SUMMARY:27th Annual Holiday Festival of Lights at the Cove
DESCRIPTION:December 1 to 30 from 6 to 9 p.m.\, excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.\nThe Cove’s three-quarter-mile greenway trail transforms into a sparkling light display coordinated to music.\n\n“This event has been one of my favorite holiday traditions\,” Mayor Jacobs said. “There’s nothing better than watching families take in the lights\, sip some hot chocolate\, and enjoy the season together. I’ve always been honored to kick off the festival and soak in all the holiday magic.” The festival is free and open to the public although visitors are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to donate to The Love Kitchen\, which provides meals\, clothing\, and emergency food packages for the homebound\, homeless\, and unemployed. The event will run each night from 6 to 9 p.m. through Wednesday\, Dec. 30\, excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. During the Festival\, The Cove’s three-quarter-mile greenway trail transforms into a sparkling light display coordinated to music. The Knox County Parks and Recreation Department’s staff decorate the park\, placing displays and thousands of lights. Several fire pits are available to keep warm or roast s’mores; and leashed pets are always welcome to join the fun. Train rides are on Mondays only. The festival will also feature “Santa’s Workshop” activity stations along the train route\, giving guests an opportunity to participate in fun activities while taking in the lights and atmosphere. A concession stand will offer hot chocolate\, pizza\, hot dogs\, nachos\, popcorn\, and other seasonal favorites throughout the month. \nhttps://www.facebook.com/knoxcountyparks

DESCRIPTION:2026 Rogersville Christmas Parade\n  \nYou’re invited to participate in the 2026 \nThe parade will be held in Rogersville on December 6\, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.  Line-up for the parade will begin at 3:00 p.m. in parking lot in front of East Rogersville Baptist Church and Rogersville Middle School.   \nFirst\, second and third place prizes will be awarded to those floats that wish to be judged.  If you would like to have your float entered into the contest\, please be sure to be in the parking lot in front of East Rogersville Baptist Church no later than 2:30 p.m.  Judging will begin at 3:15.
