Members of the public may submit event information for inclusion on the East Tennessee Visitor's Guide (ETVG), if that event is open to the general public and occurs within the boundaries of East Tennessee.

Listings on the Community Calendar are available to for-profit and non-profit organizations – as long as the submitted event is determined by the communications department to be of sufficient interest to a general audience. Please note that this information will not automatically appear on our website. All submitted events are sent to the calendar editor for approval before they are published on the online calendar. We will do our best to post a submitted event within 48-72 business hours. It is recommended that you submit your event to the calendar at least two weeks prior to the event. You are responsible for checking the East Tennessee Visitor's Guide Calendar webpage to ensure your event has been posted and all of the information is accurate. There is no charge for submitting an event to the events calendar.

The events calendar editor reserves the right to decline or remove any event from its website calendar at any time and without notice. The calendar editor reserves the right to edit event information for length, spelling, language, and clarity. At the discretion of the communications department, certain events may also be featured in East Tennessee Visitor's Guide publications.

Events submitted by the public will not be published on the East Tennessee Visitor's Guide website calendar if they:

• are commercial in nature, and, in ETVG's sole opinion, are attempting to advertise, promote or sell products or services of an individual or an individual business;
• promote, exhibit, illustrate or manifest hate or obscene/pornographic/sexual content of any kind;
• do not comply with municipal, provincial or federal legislation; and/or
• Events deemed by the city to be political in nature will not be posted after the writ has been dropped for a federal or provincial election, or after the first day of a municipal election year.

This service is offered as a courtesy. There is no warrantee or guarantee expressed or implied. There is no guarantee that all community calendar submissions may be posted. We reserve the right to refuse to post any submissions for any reason. We are not liable for any misinformation, confusion, or errors in the posting of your event to the ETVG Events Calendar. If the event is cancelled, postponed, or if there is a significant change, correction, or error the submitter will attempt to notify the Webmaster in a timely manner and the Webmaster will attempt to make corrections in a timely manner.
