- The Tail of the Dragon: This 11-mile stretch of US 129 is known for its 318 curves, making it a popular destination for motorcycle enthusiasts. - Cades Cove Loop Road: This 11-mile loop road is one of the most popular drives in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The road passes through a valley filled with historic buildings, churches, and a working gristmill. There are also plenty of opportunities to see wildlife, including deer, bears, and elk.
- Cherohala Skyway: This 42-mile road is a National Scenic Byway that connects the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with the Nantahala National Forest. The road offers stunning views of the mountains, forests, and rivers. There are also several overlooks where you can stop and take pictures.
- Roan Mountain: This mountain is located in the Cherokee National Forest and is known for its rhododendron blooms in the spring. The drive to the top of the mountain offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests.
- Ocoee Scenic Byway: This 20-mile road follows the Ocoee River through the Cherokee National Forest. The road is popular for fishing, swimming, and white-water rafting. There are also several overlooks where you can stop and take pictures of the river and mountains.
